Jackie Hoving is a New York based artist, curator and educator. She has had several solo shows, at Ripon College, Trestle Gallery in Brooklyn, NY, and Rebekah Templeton in Philadelphia. In the of Fall 2024 her work will be on view at the Brooklyn Museum in the curated section of the Brooklyn Artist Exhibition. Her work has also been on view at Mana Contemporary in Chicago, Storefront Gallery in Brooklyn, Philadelphia International Airport, Hilbert Raum in Berlin and The Drawing Museum in Sweden. Hoving has attended Yale Norfolk Summer School of Art and Music, Vermont Studio Center, and Oxbow Artist Residency. As a founding member of the artist-run space Tiger Strikes Asteroid Gallery in Brooklyn she has had the opportunity to curate several shows including “Magic Shell” and "Night Flight”. Hoving is an accomplished educator who has taught for many years at Pratt Institute and Rhode Island School of Design. She has also been a guest critic at The Cooper Union, and given lectures about her work at Ripon College, Pratt Institute and the Artist Lecture Series in Brooklyn.
