Jackie Hoving is an artist, curator and educator. Hoving's large scale wall installations incorporate her own photographs, patterned paper, acrylic spray paint and collage. These installations have been on view at her solo shows at Ripon College, Trestle Gallery, and Rebekah Templeton Gallery. This installation process is emblematic of her practice, which is engaged in the concealing and revealing through patterns and layers, weaving together images to create a camouflaged, non-linear narrative. Her work has also been on view at Mana Contemporary in Chicago, Storefront Gallery in Brooklyn, Philadelphia International Airport, Hilbert Raum in Berlin and The Drawing Museum in Sweden. As a founding member of the Artist run space Tiger Strikes Asteroid Gallery in Brooklyn she has had the opportunity to curate several shows including “Magic Shell” and "Night Flight”.
